About
We Build the Operating Layer for Service Companies.
The Practice
ServiceEdge is a practice — not a product, not an agency.
A practice works top-down. We bring an architecture and a clear answer to what gets built first — not a menu of services to choose from, not a backlog to fill. The deliverables themselves are concrete products: a Cortex deployment in your Teams environment, structured-data pipelines, automated workflows running on your cadence. The practice is the operator judgment about what to build, in what order, against which outcome.
For thirty years, service companies have been built on technology that takes the real world and keys it into tabular form — rows, columns, fields, dropdowns — so it can be queried, reported, and managed. The cost of that translation has always been enormous, and most of the operation never made it into the database at all. Phone calls. Decisions made in hallways. Tribal process. The unstructured majority of how a company actually runs has stayed invisible to its own systems.
That barrier is coming down. AI can now read a phone call, a document, an email — the unstructured signal of the operation — and produce structured records that did not exist before. The translation cost collapses. Information that lived only in heads and conversations is becoming queryable for the first time.
The next step for service companies is to make all of that information queryable in one place — and queryable by AI — so the company can be asked questions about itself: what was promised, what was delivered, what fell through, what is recurring. We call this layer the Company Memory. It is the foundation that everything downstream depends on.
On top of Memory sits the Company Cortex — an AI middle-management layer that runs the discipline humans wouldn't sustain. Memory makes the operation knowable. The Cortex runs the discipline on top. The practice builds both.
Why We Exist
The middle has been empty.
Almost every service company is watching the AI implementation landscape and feeling confused. Tools change weekly. Agencies promise everything. And after the demos finish, very little actually changes about how the company operates.
The reason is structural. AI is fast once the data exists — but most service companies are years away from having their operational reality available for AI to act on. Building the foundation that makes AI useful is real work, almost always skipped, and almost always underestimated. AI agencies install tools without doing it. McKinsey-tier consultancies are priced for banks and large carriers. The middle — operator-grade depth at SMB scale — has been empty.
At company scale the problem compounds. What works for one person or a small team becomes inherently more complex — governance, deployment, permissions, freshness, compliance, a model of how the company actually runs underneath. The tools alone cannot answer for any of that.
ServiceEdge sits underneath the confusion. We don't chase the tool of the week. We build the substrate that makes whatever-tool-comes-next actually deployable in your operation: a company legible to itself, and an orchestration layer running on top of it.
If your company is in this picture — let's talk.
Thirty-minute conversation. We listen, ask questions about your operation, and tell you what we'd build first. No pitch, no obligation.
